Knapp Center iPhone Developer Contest Winners
IIT Today October 14, 2010
In July the IIT Stuart Knapp Entrepreneurship Center presented IIT students with an iPhone Developer contest, sponsored by Fig1, Inc. and their client, Shakespeare Squared, LLC wherein participants were tasked with creating one of two child care related apps, with $500 prizes for the winners.
The Knapp Center and Fig1 are pleased to announce the winners of the iPhone Developer contest: undergraduates Iat Ieong (ECE) & Changchen He (CS) won with their Baby Care app, which provides searchable child care advice for parents and daily logs to track activity and development; and architecture PhD candidate Qutaibah Hamadah, who designed an Early Reader app which allows children learn new words by building their own stories using a set of available images.
“It was a first-class experience working with the talented students of IIT,” said Fig1 CEO Jim Figliulo. “Fig1 looks forward to putting the winner’s applications on the App Store and sponsoring more contests and activities in the near future.”
