Over the weekend, IITPSD\u00a0took 2 theft reports from Crown Hall.<\/p>\n
On Saturday, January 25th, at approximately 1:00pm,\u00a0 an unidentified male black,\u00a0 18-22 yrs old, wearing all black, entered Crown Hall and took a bag containing a laptop computer.<\/p>\n
Although the building was locked, the offender was allowed access by another student.\u00a0 This is commonly referred to as “piggy backing”.<\/p>\n
On Sunday, January 26th, at approximately 4:00 pm, IITPSD took a second theft report involving an unattended bag containing a laptop computer.<\/p>\n
Last week, students at Crown, granted access to two male offenders.\u00a0 Once inside, the suspects stole a student’s purse.\u00a0<\/p>\n
One of the suspects was subsequently arrested by IITPSD.<\/p>\n
IITPSD advises that students need to secure ALL their belongings and leave nothing unattended.<\/p>\n
Do not allow unknown individuals into secured buildings and spaces.<\/p>\n
Whereas it might appear rude to make someone swipe their ID card, this ensures the integrity of the security applications and ensures your safety.<\/p>\n
