This week over 100 students participated in SASDI and Career Services’ VIP Career Camps. VIP Career Camp is is a new initiative that will assist students in preparing and transitioning from student to professional. The VIP Career Camp is also valuable for alumni who are looking to brush up on their professional skills. At the sessions students learned about best practices for writing their resumes and cover letters, successful interviewing skills, professional networking, and ways to incorporate technology into their career search. They also had the opportunity to develop and practice their 30 second elevator pitch for this Spring’s Career Fair.
Immediately after the VIP Career Camps, SASDI and Career Services hosted an Alumni Networking Reception. At the reception students had the opportunity to connect with IIT Alumni who are working in various industries. It is always great to see current and former students build relationships and discuss their passions and visions.
