On Saturday, April 2nd the Office of the Vice Provost for Student Access, Success, and Diversity Initiatives (SASDI), the Office of Graduate Admissions, and the Consulate General of Brazil in Chicago hosted a day to celebrate the accomplishments of the students who took part in the Brazilian Scientific Mobility Program (BSMP) during the 2015/16 academic year. Over 60 students from DePaul University, University of Illinois at Chicago, University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee, Purdue University Calumet, and Illinois Institute of Technology participated. During the event students heard from guest speaker Marcos Rodrigues da Costa,Vice President of Supply Chain Finance at Kraft Foods. He spoke of the hard work it took to get to Kraft Foods. He also encouraged the students to not be afraid of taking risks and to take every opportunity given to them. Students also participated in a graduate school fair, certificate ceremony, and reception. The day was full of learning, appreciation, and fun.

Illinois Tech was honored to host the incredible students who participated in the BSMP program this year. The SASDI office looks forward to seeing great things from Illinois Tech/BSMP alumni.
