Honoring the Victims

For all of them, their lives will never be quite the same. And even for the rest of us, the impact is palpable in our everyday lives and relationships.

How can we best remember and honor these victims? One answer is that we – every one of us – make sure that we achieve the lives that are forever denied to these seventeen victims. And this means achieving the success, happiness, and meaningful education, career, family, and social goals that we strive to reach in the future.

Collaboration with Galvin Library: Service Design Project

The User Services Department of the Paul V. Galvin Library at Illinois Institute of Technology has recently embarked on a Service Design project with the help of SASDI’s Continuous Improvement unit in a half-day visioning session. This process allowed us to focus on the services and experiences that are most important to us and our students, rather than trying to reengineer processes without looking at the bigger picture. As a result, the group was able to identify the key service aspects that warrant the group’s focus.
